The prosecutor's office will check the incident with the abandonment of a child in an entrance in Murino

The Vsevolozhsk city prosecutor's office will check the information that a mother left her young child in the entrance of an apartment building. This was announced on February 28 by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Leningrad region.

"The Vsevolozhsk City Prosecutor's office has organized an information check on the abandonment of a minor child born in 2024 by a mother in the entrance of an apartment building in Murino, Vsevolozhsk district," the statement says.

It is noted that the woman brought her child to the apartment building where his father lived and left him unattended. She made this decision because she did not want to deal with his upbringing.

«During the inspection, an assessment will be given of the fulfillment of the requirements of legislation on the observance of the rights of minors, including by the authorities of the prevention system," the agency writes.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abandonment in danger). The situation is under the control of law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, on February 26, in the city of Murino, three children abandoned in an apartment. As the investigation found out, the 40-year-old woman systematically deliberately did not feed or water her children in order to cause psychological suffering. In addition, she left them alone for a long time, which made them afraid. A criminal case of torture has been opened against their mother.
