According to a new survey, the level of trust of Russians in the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin over the past week increased, from February 17 to February 23, by 0.3 percentage points and amounted to 79.8%. The data is provided on February 28 by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM).

"79.8% of respondents answered positively to the question of trust in Putin (+0.3 percentage points)...The approval rate for the president's activities was 77.2% (+1.0 percentage points per week)," the center's materials say.

The work of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the government as a whole was positively assessed by 53.2% (+0.9 percentage points per week) and 52.9% (+2.4 percentage points per week), respectively.

1.6 thousand adult Russians participated in the study.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 17 that Putin was using huge support from the population. He also noted the impact of the survey results on the success of the special military operation. Peskov called it an important factor "for inspiring citizens."
