Orban talked about the possible consequences of Ukraine's accession to the EU

"Firstly, [Ukraine's accession to the EU] will ruin Hungarian farmers and Hungarian agriculture, and secondly, it will ruin the entire Hungarian national economy, and I do not see how we will be able to curb crime, which in this case will surge to Hungary," Orban replied.
The Hungarian Prime Minister also noted that he is against Ukraine's accession to the EU.
"... one thing I can say for sure: here and now it is unthinkable. It will destroy us," Orban concluded.
Earlier, on January 21, Orban said that Ukraine is still not ready to join the European Union. According to him, the EU does not have the money to accept Kiev. The politician called on Ukraine to first settle relations with Slovakia and Hungary.
