- The media reported on Ukraine's outrage over the words of the Polish presidential candidate in Lviv

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ukraine was criticized by the statement of Polish presidential candidate Slawomir Mentzen, who demanded that the Ukrainian authorities ban the cult of nationalist leader Stepan Bandera in Lviv. This was reported on February 28 by the Polish portal Do Rzeczy.
According to him, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy, said that such steps could damage relations between the two countries.
"I will say honestly that the position of this character [Mentzen] has been known to everyone for a long time. This did not come as a surprise to us or anyone else," Do Rzeczy quoted him as saying.
Tykhy also noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine does not consider such statements as the official position of Poland.
February 25th Mentzen called for an end to the cult of Bandera in Ukraine. According to him, the monument to the nationalist leader in Lviv is a disgrace to its residents.
The next day Mentzen condemned the restoration of the museum of the Ukrainian Nazi collaborator Roman Shukhevych. He pointed out that the Polish government is sending money to the country to rebuild Lviv, and "Ukrainians are restoring a monument to the crime that killed 100,000 people."
