GAC unveils new GS4 crossover in Russia


GAC has announced the imminent launch of sales in Russia of the GS4 crossover, which will become the brand's third model in the line. Details about prices and trim levels will be announced later, according to a statement from the Chinese manufacturer, which was received by Izvestia on February 28.
This model debuted in the Chinese market in 2024 under the name GAC GS4 Max. The length of the crossover is 4685 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. The basic version has a 1.5 engine (170 hp; 250 Nm), it is aggregated by a seven-speed robotic gearbox. With this powertrain, the SUV accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and consumes an average of 7.2 liters of gasoline per 100 km. McPherson type suspension in the front, multi—link suspension in the rear.
The trunk volume is 638 liters, with the rear row seats folded, it increases to 1586 liters. The crossover has LED headlights, concealed electric door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. The driver and the front passenger are promised "zero gravity" seats to evenly distribute the weight of the occupant. The cabin has a seven-inch digital dashboard, a 10-inch multimedia system with support for wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless charging. A winter package is provided (heated steering wheel, windshield, first and second row seats).
The GS4 comes with eight airbags. The list of assistants includes adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping function, collision risk warning, automatic braking system, as well as an automatic high beam control system.
On February 20, GAC introduced a special version of the large GS8 crossover in Russia, which was named GX Traveller. The new maximum configuration is designed for fans of autotourism and long-distance travel.
