Romanian prosecutors have detained 18 people in the case of presidential candidate Georgescu.

The prosecutors are petitioning the High Court of Cassation for the preliminary arrest of the detainees for 30 days. They are suspected of attempting to act against the constitutional order, non-compliance with the weapons storage regime, as well as incitement.

It is noted that he left Romania before his house was searched on Wednesday, February 26. He is currently in Dubai. During the search, law enforcement officers found a large number of weapons, $3.3 million, some amounts in currencies of other countries and 25 kg of gold bullion.
