Sobyanin announced the start of construction of the Shelepikhinsky gas pipeline-Duker

Construction of the Shelepikhinsky gas pipeline under the Moskva River has begun in the capital. It will connect Bolshaya Filevskaya Street with Shelepikhinskaya Embankment and increase the reliability of gas supply to the central and western parts of the city, saidin his official Telegram channel, the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin.

The main part of the pipeline will pass under the bottom of the river, at a depth of more than ten meters. Mosgaz's specialists build it using microtunneling — without digging trenches, with almost no noise and no environmental impact.

The high—pressure steel pipe is placed in a special case, which protects it from external influences. At the same time, specialists use domestic materials with a service life of more than 40 years.

The program for the reconstruction of duckline gas pipelines built from 1939 to 1965 has been implemented in Moscow since 2018. To date, ten of them have been repaired in the capital. Work continues at Kropotkinsky and Shchukinsky.
