The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov, inspected the Western grouping of troops in the area of the special military operation (SVO). This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense on February 28.
"Gerasimov inspected the Zapad group of troops, and also visited a motorized rifle division performing combat missions in the area of a special military operation," the ministry noted.
