Five main houses of the city estates were recognized as architectural monuments

These are real masterpieces of architecture and decorations of the Plokhovo— Ostashevsky — L.S. Polyakov Moscow estate (17 Tverskaya Boulevard, building 4), the Kulakov city estate (8 Verkhnyaya Radishchevskaya Street, building 1), the estate of V.D. Nosov (1 Malaya Semyonovskaya Street, building 1), the estate of the merchant V.Borodin village — Polshkovs with chambers (71 Sadovnicheskaya Street, building 4), as well as estates of the XVIII–XIX centuries (21 Novaya Basmannaya Street, building 1).
Among the architectural monuments is the Plokhovo —Ostashevsky estate of L.S. Polyakov on Tverskaya Boulevard. Specialists of the Department of Cultural Heritage have achieved its restoration and now keep the architectural monument under constant control.
The Kulakov city estate also received the status of an architectural monument. The stone building of the 19th century has preserved the decorative design of the 19th century, corner furnaces with concave mirrors, lined with smooth white tiles, tiled furnaces with a pattern, stucco, as well as stretched ceiling cornices and sockets.
The estate of V. D. Nosov was a large wool production. To create the interiors, the owners of the building invited the famous architect I. V. Zholtovsky.
"The oldest part of the main house on Sadovnicheskaya Street is the stone chambers, built in 1770 by Vasily Sergeyevich Borodin, a Moscow merchant of the second guild," the publication says.
Also, the 18th–19th century urban estate on Novaya Basmannaya Street belongs to the type of residential building with an attic typical of post-fire architecture. The building is crowned by a profiled cornice and completes the mezzanine with three windows with a pediment. The interiors have preserved the furnaces of the 19th century.
The Department of Cultural Heritage is working to identify cultural heritage sites. Over the past 14 years, more than 700 objects have been included in the registry.
Earlier, on February 24, three mansions in the capital have become cultural heritage sites. The list includes the Markov merchants' mansion, the apartment building of P.A. Bachurina — I.E. Smirnov and the mansion of S.K. Tronshe.
