Military exercises North Korea used cruise strategic missiles in the Yellow Sea. This was reported on February 28 by the Korean Central News Agency (LIKE THIS).

"A unit of the Western District of the Korean People's Army, the Mi-Sil coalition unit, conducted training on launching strategic cruise missiles in the western part of the Yellow Sea," the agency said in a statement.

In addition, the publication clarified that the purpose of the exercises was to demonstrate the ability of the Korean army to "launch counterstrikes in any space," as well as to inform about the "combat readiness of the country's nuclear assets."

In addition, according to KCNA, the DPRK thus demonstrated the reliability of nuclear deterrence systems and the readiness of units to perform combat missions. The agency also added that the launched missiles were able to cover a distance of 1,587 km along an oval trajectory in 7,961 and 7,973 seconds, while they accurately hit the target.

The Yonhap news agency reported earlier in the day that the DPRK href="https://iz.ru/1846419/2025-02-28/yonhap-soobshchilo-provedenii-kndr-ispytatelnogo-zapuska-krylatoi-rakety " target="_blank">has test-launched a strategic cruise missile to test the country's nuclear deterrent systems.
