The Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of the Russian military in the special operation zone

On February 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted that Corporal Vyacheslav Manchenko, commanding the calculation of a self-propelled artillery mortar, carried out a combat mission to support Russian units during the assault on fortified structures of the Armed Forces. Ukraine (AFU) on one of the offensive lines.

The crew under the command of Manchenko promptly moved to the designated area. The task was complicated by the proximity of the assault units to the enemy stronghold. Turning around in an unprepared position, the corporal was able to quickly determine the general order of fire damage to the enemy.

As a result of the targeted fire, a long-term firing point and most of the Armed Forces personnel in defensive positions were destroyed. The assault that followed the shelling forced the Ukrainian militants to retreat deep into the territories under their control. Thanks to the actions of Manchenko and the coordinated actions of the crew, the Russian attack aircraft captured the enemy stronghold without losses and gained a foothold on new frontiers.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense drew attention to the merits of Corporal Konstantin Schreiber. Acting as part of a motorized rifle unit, he carried out a combat mission to hold the defense in an important strategic area.

While observing the area, Schreiber promptly detected an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group moving in the direction of the Russian units. The corporal reported this via communications to the unit commander and, assessing the enemy forces, hit the AFU machine gunner with the first shots. This helped to significantly reduce the attacking capabilities of the saboteurs.

During the ensuing battle, Schreiber received a shrapnel wound to his forearm, but continued to restrain the enemy, making it impossible for him to advance further until reinforcements arrived. As a result, the enemy suffered serious losses and was forced to retreat.
