HC CSKA Moscow advanced to the KHL playoffs after defeating Kunlun Red Star

The Moscow hockey club (HC) CSKA beat the Beijing Kunlun Red Star in the regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and became a participant in the playoffs of the tournament. The meeting was held on February 27 at Moscow and ended with a score of 6:0.

Forwards Prokhor Poltapov (23rd minute), Vladislav Kamenev (45th minute), Kirill Dolzhenkov (51st minute), Denis Guryanov (52nd minute), Ivan Drozdov (57th minute) and defender Nikita Nesterov (59th minute) scored for the hosts.

The CSKA hockey players secured their participation in the playoffs ahead of schedule, scoring 76 points and finishing in fourth place in the Western Conference. Kunlun Red Star is on the ninth line of the standings with 57 points scored. As a result of the match, places in the playoffs were also guaranteed for Dinamo Minsk and Severstal from Cherepovets.

On February 25, the KHL playoffs also reached "Спартак" after defeating SKA St. Petersburg with a score of 7:2 and Moscow Dynamo, which beat Lokomotiv Yaroslavl with a score of 3:1. The Red and white are on the third line in the Western Conference, and the blue and white, in turn, occupy the second place.
