Kaliningrad region is not going to dismantle the transmission line to Lithuania

There are no plans to dismantle the power transmission line on the border of the Kaliningrad Region and Lithuania after the Baltic States leave the BRALL energy ring. This was announced on February 27 by the Governor of the Kaliningrad region Alexey Besprozvannykh.

"I asked for a photo of non-functioning power lines on the border with Lithuania. I was surprised to notice that everything remained in place, despite the statements of the Lithuanian side to dismantle the line. Our neighbors are not in a hurry, it seems that these are signs of at least some remaining common sense," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

He added that the Russian side also has no plans to remove anything.

Earlier, on February 25, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Zygimantas Vaiciunas stated that Lithuania has begun the process of dismantling power lines on the border with the Kaliningrad region.
