- A schoolboy from Moscow gave more than 1 million rubles to fraudsters after a call from an alleged head teacher

"On February 24, a stranger called the boy, who introduced himself as the head teacher and informed him about the need to log into an electronic magazine. Then he was contacted by another interlocutor, who identified himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring. He said that his parents' accounts on Public Services had been hacked, and urged them to declare the funds they had at home," the source said.
A few hours later, the student went out into the courtyard and put the money in the back seat of a taxi that pulled up. The damage amounted to 1 million 30 thousand rubles, and an investigation is underway into the incident.
