- Peseshkian named a condition for a possible resumption of dialogue with the United States

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on February 27 that negotiations with The United States may start again if Washington shows appropriate intentions.
"We should not be afraid of sanctions. Some say that we have no choice but to negotiate with them [the United States]. "...We are not saying that we will not negotiate, but we are not going to bow to bandits," Peseshkian's press service quoted him as saying on the official site.
He added that the United States must first prove that it really wants to sit down at the negotiating table.
"You cannot simultaneously impose sanctions on us and strengthen them, and then demand that we sit at the table and negotiate. There is a saying: first prove your brotherly affection, and then make claims," he said.
Earlier, on February 10, Peseshkian accused US President Donald Trump of plotting against Iran. The Iranian president also recalled that Trump often accuses Tehran of escalation in the Middle East, but at the same time, Tel Aviv, with Washington's support, is "killing, robbing and bombing the region."
