Trump confirmed plans to impose tariffs on Mexico and China starting in March.

The President USA Donald Trump said that the decision to impose tariffs against Mexico, Canada and China from March 4 remains in force. The American leader made the corresponding statement on February 27 on the Truth Social social network.

"The proposed tariffs, which are due to take effect on March 4, will indeed enter into force as planned. China will also be subject to an additional tariff of 10% from this date. The date of mutual tariffs on April 2 will remain in full force," he wrote.

In his post, Trump reiterated that this decision was made due to the large influx of drugs entering the United States from Mexico and Canada, stressing that they cause significant damage to the country and kill millions of Americans.

On February 10, Trump stated that there would be duties of 25% have been introduced on steel and aluminum imported into the United States. Such duties were imposed on products of those countries that had previously imposed retaliatory restrictions on American products.
