Analysts have listed the best-selling cars in Moscow


By the end of 2024, Moscow residents purchased 202.2 thousand new passenger cars, which is 33% more than in 2023. Geely became the most popular brand, and Haval Jolion turned out to be the best-selling model. This was reported on February 27 by the analytical agency Autostat.
Immediately, 69% of the capital's car market accounted for cars of Chinese brands (138.9 thousand units). According to analysts, the share of "Chinese" in Moscow increased by 1 percentage point over the year
Geely became the most popular brand in the capital with the result of 27.7 thousand cars sold. This is followed by Haval (23.5 thousand units), Chery (16 thousand units) and Changan (13.5 thousand units). Lada rounded out the top five (13.3 thousand units), while the figures for the remaining brands were less than 10 thousand cars.
Haval Jolion became a bestseller in Moscow (10.7 thousand units). The second place in the model rating was taken by Geely Monjaro (8,700 units), the third — Belgee X50 (7,8 thousand units). Next are the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Lada Granta, and the most popular model of the capital's market in 2023, the Geely Coolray, was only the sixth.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that in 2024, the Volkswagen Polo, Kia Rio X-Line and Jetta VS5 became the most sought-after carsharing vehicles in the Economy category. In the Comfort category over the same period, Haval Jolion, Geely Coolray and Chery Tiggo 4 are the leaders, while in Business and Premium, Russian drivers most often chose Toyota Camry, Exeed RX and Geely Monjaro.
Also on this day, the Sinomach Auto concern announced prices for the new Oting Palasso hardtop pickup, which will be the first with a factory hardtop in its segment in the Russian market. In a modification with a manual transmission, the car will cost from 4 million rubles, and with an automatic transmission — from 4.34 million rubles.
