Significant funds have been allocated to the EU Delegation in Tbilisi to support and coordinate the demonstrations. This was reported on February 27 in the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.

It clarifies that the leadership of the European Union aims at any cost "to return Georgia to the path of democracy and European integration. The Brussels European bureaucracy cannot allow the loss of this important stronghold of Western influence in Transcaucasia."

The article notes that the EU has decided to move from non-functioning liberal promises to political pressure in its work with Georgian politicians and society. Significant funds have been allocated to the EU Delegation in Tbilisi to support and coordinate the demonstrations. Each of the participants in the anti-government protests is scheduled to be paid up to €120 per day of "work."

"Within the framework of the EU's Georgian Youth for Europe program, young Georgians will be offered grants of up to 50,000 euros for the implementation of "progressive" projects. The main criterion for allocating funds is the loyalty of the authors to the West," the message says.

Earlier, on November 18, 2024, it was reported that the foreign ministers of the EU countries href="https://iz.ru/1792949/2024-11-18/v-es-soglasovali-otpravku-v-gruziiu-eu120-mln-na-podderzhku-grazhdanskogo-obshchestva">we agreed to redirect €120 million of aid to Georgia to "support civil society." In addition, a political mission will be sent to Georgia to study what happened in the country, bearing in mind the situation surrounding the parliamentary elections held in the republic.
