Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on February 27 on the president's statement USA Donald's Trump's intention to help Ukraine "to return as much as possible."

In his opinion, the statement of the American leader will not have a significant impact on the negotiation process. Peskov also noted that the lost Ukrainian territories are legally part of Russia.

"What we are witnessing is that President Trump speaks for himself and is ready to listen to others. This is very important, and it fundamentally distinguishes the current Washington administration from the previous one," he said at a briefing.

In addition, the Kremlin's official representative described the Ukrainian conflict as a complex problem and added that no one expects "easy and quick" solutions.

On February 24, Trump announced the promotion in the negotiation process between Russia and the United States on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, the negotiations are going "very well."
