Chairman of the PSB Peter Fradkov and Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin discussed the expansion of cooperation between the bank and the regional government. This was reported by the press service of the PSB following the results of the working meeting.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed, in particular, the need to build housing for defense industry workers in the Nizhny Novgorod region within the framework of the PSB program. First of all, the demand for new housing in the region is noted in cities with a high concentration of defense industry enterprises — Sarov, Arzamas and Dzerzhinsk. The meeting also discussed projects using the mechanism of public-private partnership.

According to the chairman of the PSB, the bank is "ready to engage in work on new infrastructure projects and socially important tasks, and to approach solutions systematically, taking into account regional and urban characteristics."

"We discussed our flagship infrastructure initiatives with Peter Fradkov and his colleagues. A separate aspect is the implementation of a number of concessions, including for the development of territories in Nizhny Novgorod," Nikitin said.

During his visit to the region, Fradkov, who is also the head of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) and Vice President of the Russian Olympic Committee, met with Dmitry Kabaylo, Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The parties agreed that an event in one of the athletics disciplines will be held in Nizhny Novgorod in the summer, and issues related to sports infrastructure in the region for both professional and amateur sports will be worked out.
