The Moscow Maslenitsa Festival is held in the capital at the sites of urban districts. Craft workshops, performances and concerts were prepared for the guests, as well as treats - pancakes and festive dishes from vegetables, meat and fish, the organizers of the Winter in Moscow project said.

For example, on March 1, on Svyatoozerskaya Street, the Glove Theater will present the play "Merry Carnival" — a playful story with games and pancakes. On March 2, there will also be a concert by jazz singer Tatiana Magidova. In addition, on March 2, the Cossack ensemble "Volnaya Rus" will perform in the park near Golyanovsky Pond, and the Bely Shar Theater will show a puppet show "Visiting Petrushka" on Matveevskaya Street.

At the intersection of Sokolovo-Meshcherskaya and Yurovskaya streets on March 1, Muscovites and tourists will be taught how to create milk mugs on a potter's wheel, following the example of artisans from the Tver region. On March 2, it will also be possible to make a honey spoon here, inspired by the traditions of the Skopinsky potters of the Ryazan region. On Saturday, the Olympic Village is waiting for a master class "The approach of Spring" - embroidery of napkins in the style of Tarussian craftsmen. On Sunday, jewelry boxes will be decorated using the Vyatka lace technique.

In addition, more than 50 types of pancakes will be available in all locations: from traditional pancakes with sour cream or honey to author's creations with unusual fillings. For example, the site on Orekhovy Boulevard will turn into a candy fair: honey marshmallows, gingerbread cookies with retro pictures, chocolate and gift sets of sweets will be offered here.
