In the Chelyabinsk region, 11 hotel guests complained of poisoning

The guests of the hotel near Lake Turgoyak in the Chelyabinsk region complained of poisoning symptoms, at least 11 people were injured. The circumstances of the massive outbreak of the disease are being established. This was reported on February 27 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"A pre-investigation check has been organized following a report of an outbreak of an infectious disease in a family hotel ... on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules that inadvertently caused mass illness of people")," the report says. It was previously established that 11 hotel guests complained to doctors about feeling unwell on February 25 and 26. Eight of the cases are children from one to 14 years old. All had nausea, vomiting, and fever. After the examination, the doctors released the people for outpatient treatment, their lives and health are not in danger.

Before that, on February 14th, mass poisoning was reported in a hostel in the south Moscow. It was clarified that about 70 guests of the hotel near the Nagatinskaya metro station were poisoned. Of these, 20 people were hospitalized. It was noted that the victims had an intestinal infection. The investigation reported on the beginning of the check on poisoning.
