Attempts The United States is doomed to fail to disrupt Russian-Chinese relations. This was announced on February 27 by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian.

"No matter how the international situation changes, Sino-Russian relations will develop calmly, and it is completely useless for the United States to sow discord between China and Russia," he said at a briefing.

Lin Jian clarified that Russian-Chinese cooperation has its own internal dynamics and is in no way influenced by third countries. At the same time, the development strategies of both countries are designed for the long term.

Earlier, on February 25, the American magazine Foreign Affairs wrote that the US president Donald Trump probably won't put pressure on Russia and China in matters of their internal policy. According to the publication, this approach can lead to the opening of more opportunities for agreements between the three countries, including on international security issues.

On February 24, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the conversation, the leaders stressed that the relations between the two countries are of a strategic nature, free from external influence and not directed against any third parties.
