Two teenagers were detained in the Smolensk region for attempting to smuggle drugs.


"On February 21 of this year, operatives of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Smolensk region, with the assistance of employees of the regional FSB police department, detained two minors at the Krasnaya Gorka checkpoint," the agency said in a statement.
According to the regional FSB, about 700 grams of narcotic substances were found in the young people. It is specified that the detainees planned to transport prohibited substances to the territory of a neighboring state.
A criminal case was opened against minors under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted illegal movement of narcotic drugs across the state border of the Russian Federation by a group of persons on an especially large scale").
Earlier, on February 25, employees of the FSB of Russia in the Donetsk People's Republic detained a resident of Makeyevka involved in the organization href="https://iz.ru/1844605/2025-02-25/sotrudniki-fsb-zaderzali-zitela-makeevki-za-organizaciu-sbyta-narkotikov " target="_blank">illegal drug distribution channel. Drugs with a total weight of about 1.5 kg were found in the man. It was clarified that the person involved was engaged in packing and distributing substances by hiding bookmarks. A criminal case was opened against the detainee.
