About 1,700 citizens and about 30 companies are participating in the pilot project of creating a digital ruble. This was announced on February 27 by the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina.

However, she added that the implementation of the project is postponed to a later date than previously announced (July 1, 2025).
