The vast majority — 90% — of pseudo-organic products are sold on marketplaces. This was announced by Roskachestvo on February 27.

"Despite the similarity of organic standards in different countries, products certified only according to national standards are recognized in Russia. Therefore, products labeled "organic" from other countries on the Russian shelf can be regarded as inconsistent with Russian legislation," said Vladimir Uvaidov, director of the Department for the Development of organic and "green" products at Roskachestvo.

The agency conducted repeated monitoring of the market to determine whether non-certified pseudo-organic products are being sold somewhere. The study affected four marketplaces — OZON, Wildberries, Megamarket, Yandex.Market, 10 retail chains — Globus, VkusVille, Auchan, Metro, Crossroads, Dixie, Magnolias, Lenta, ABC of Taste, Spar, the Vprok delivery service and the Winestyle alcohol store chain. 450 pseudo-organic products were checked, which did not have a certificate of conformity, but the words "organic", "organic", "organic" appeared in the labeling or card.

As a result, it turned out that more than 400 products with violations out of 450 were sold on marketplaces, and there were pinpoint violations in offline trading. In addition, most of the products where the information indicated on the packaging did not correspond to reality were imported. It was marked in English with international signs. The following types of labeling of pseudo—organic products were most common: "organic" — in 65.7% of cases, "eurolist" — in 49.2%, USDA - in 9%.

As a result of the audit, retail chains and marketplaces took various measures: they changed the product cards, worked with suppliers to ensure that they received Russian state certification, or simply refused to sell products with violations.

Roskachestvo urged buyers to check the manufacturer in the register of the Ministry of Agriculture, where you can see if a Russian product certificate has been registered. In case of purchase of pseudo-organic products, it is worth contacting Roskachestvo.

Earlier, on February 5, Andrey Kirillov, General Director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies of the Honest Sign State Marking System (CRPT), told Izvestia that using this mechanism it would be possible to verify href="https://iz.ru/1834055/2025-02-05/ekspert-rasskazal-o-proverke-kacestva-halalnoi-produkcii-cerez-prilozenie"> whether the products comply with the Halal standard. This feature has already been added to the system, and all manufacturers will be able to link their certificates to it, and buyers will be able to find out where and from what raw materials the goods were produced.
