The State Duma recalled the laws coming into force on March 1.

Several legislative initiatives aimed at protecting children's health, strengthening control over foreign agents and combating financial fraud will enter into force in early March. Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin recalled this on February 27 in his Telegram channel.

According to him, one of the main laws prohibits the sale of energy drinks to minors. This initiative will protect children from consuming products that are harmful to their health. They also banned the sale of gas-containing goods to children.

In addition, Volodin recalled, the country will tighten control over the income of foreign agents. From the beginning of March, they will be required to transfer funds from the sale of real estate, transport and interest on deposits to a certain ruble account.

"It will be possible to use the funds only if the status of a foreign agent is removed," Volodin said.

Another law is being introduced to protect citizens from fraudsters, he said. Russians will be able to set a self-lock for loans. Due to this, fraudsters will not be able to take out a loan in someone else's name using stolen funds.

The latest law concerns the advertising of loans and borrowings. Now it should include full information about the conditions or a link to the website with details, as well as a warning about the risks. This innovation will make the product more transparent for consumers, Volodin noted.

Earlier, on February 25, Volodin called for the preparation of standards on href="https://iz.ru/1844933/2025-02-25/v-gosdume-prizvali-podgotovit-normy-po-zashchite-detei-ot-napadeniia-brodiachikh-sobak " target="_blank">protecting children from attacks by stray dogs. According to him, this should be entrusted to the relevant committee on family protection, fatherhood, motherhood and childhood, as it will approach this issue more objectively. Volodin also urged Russians not to throw animals outside.
