A surgeon who operated on a nine-year-old child from Sochi with a torn husky face informed the victim's father, Valentin Korolev, about the boy's condition. Izvestia learned about this on February 27.

The doctor sewed up one vessel with a diameter of about 0.1 mm for the boy, while he assesses the nose and the remaining lip of the child as almost non-viable.

"The flap is bleeding a little. It will be a miracle if [the boy's] nose and lip take root," the surgeon said in a letter to the victim's father.

In addition, the child's father said that the head doctor of the hospital asked him to remove the remaining fragments of the boy's face from the dogs. According to Korolev, the owner of the two attacked huskies did not object to their killing for autopsy. However, the victim's parent has not yet received fragments of his son's face.

An attack by two huskies on a nine-year-old child took place in Sochi on February 26. The dogs were unattended by the owner, they were driven away from the boy by passers-by. Later, a schoolboy with multiple lacerations to his face was taken to a hospital in Krasnodar. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
