The Airborne UAV unit destroyed the military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region

A unit of the Airborne Forces unmanned aerial vehicles destroyed a towed howitzer, two self-propelled artillery installations and a tank of the Armed Forces Ukraine (APU) with a Lancet barrage ammunition on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. This was announced on February 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry noted that during their military training, units of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Guards airborne assault force from the Dnepr group of forces are actively using Lancet barrage ammunition to destroy enemy artillery and military equipment in the Kakhovka direction in the Kherson region.

After the launch of the Lancet, the barrage ammunition crossed the line of contact along the riverbed. At the same time, the operator of the Zala reconnaissance UAV began reconnaissance of targets and identified priorities for destruction — a towed howitzer, two self-propelled guns and an enemy tank, which were camouflaged and fired at civilians.

Professionally controlling the Lancets, the operators took turns directing them to their targets, capturing and defeating them. After a direct hit, the enemy's artillery installations and tank were destroyed. UAV units of the Russian paratroopers destroyed several dozen military and special equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area alone, the Defense Ministry added.
