By the beginning of 2025, domestic cargo transportation had become unprofitable, due to an increase in their cost, a sharp increase in lease payments, scrap collection and prices for equipment, as well as a significant decrease in the volume of delivery and the level of tariffs. This is stated in a letter from the Avtogruzex association to the government, which was reviewed by Izvestia.

Postponement of payments and reduction of rates on contributions to extra-budgetary funds will help to avoid deterioration of the situation, as logistics experts point out. In addition, they proposed to introduce compensation for lease payments, preferential loans, subsidies to maintain employment and wages, and grants for software development in logistics.

Experts noted that the aggravation of problems could lead to the bankruptcy of many transport companies as early as 2025. This will lead to an increase in unemployment, a shortage of funds for cargo delivery throughout Russia, and an increase in consumer prices.
