- Zakharova called unacceptable the tone of the Austrian Foreign Minister's statements about Russia.

Earlier, at a speech in the Parliament of the republic, Schallenberg said that negotiations on Ukraine will not take place without the participation of Europe, as "there are more than €200 billion of Russian assets in European accounts".
"You don't talk to Russia in that tone. First, Brussels leaders need to learn how to behave decently, stop spreading disinformation, and then pretend to communicate," Zakharova commented on the statement by the Austrian Foreign Minister in her Telegram channel.
She also stressed that the only result of the actions of the Austrian authorities is the loss of supplies of Russian "high—quality and reliable gas at favorable prices." The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that last year Schallenberg accused Russia of interfering in Ukrainian affairs.
"immediately after Schallenberg announced that he was finally leaving politics, did he finally break away? However, he had previously been known for making strange statements. For example, last fall he accused Russia of "millennial" interference in the affairs of Ukraine," Zakharova wrote.
