Irkutsk will restrict the sale of alcohol during the celebration of Maslenitsa. The sale of alcohol will be prohibited within a radius of 100 m from the venues of cultural events.

The restrictions will be in effect on February 27, as well as on March 1 and 2. The full list of territories that fall under the ban is provided by IA IrkutskMedia.

The Irkutsk Region Consumer Market and Licensing Service stressed that administrative liability is provided for violations. The fine for officials is 20-40 thousand rubles, for legal entities — up to 300 thousand rubles.

Earlier, the governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, signed a law that prohibits the sale of alcohol in shops in the courtyards of apartment buildings. The law will come into force on September 1, 2025.
