Trump pointed out the impossibility of Ukraine's membership in NATO

Ukraine will not become a member of NATO as part of a future conflict resolution agreement. This was announced on February 26 by the president USA Donald Trump.

"I can say that [Ukraine] can forget about NATO," he said at the first cabinet meeting of the new American administration.

According to Trump, one of the reasons for the Ukrainian conflict is probably the possible prospect of Ukraine joining the North Atlantic Alliance.

The US President's National Security adviser, Michael Waltz, noted on February 24 that in the United States do not discuss Ukraine's possible entry into NATO. At the same time, he indicated that the United States would support Kiev's security guarantees from Britain and France.
