The police in Khabarovsk are conducting an investigation into fraud, as a result of which a 65-year-old woman was injured. The victim lost almost 2.5 million rubles.
According to the Khabarovsk woman, in one of the messengers she received a message on behalf of her former boss. The text stated that the company had allegedly leaked personal data. Then the woman was contacted by a man who introduced himself as a "special services officer." He stated that suspicious activity had been registered on the pensioner's accounts. The victim agreed to transfer all her savings to a "secure" account. IA writes about this AmurMedia.
After making the transfer, the numbers from which the scammers kept in touch became unavailable. Then the woman contacted the police. A criminal case has been opened.
Last week, the police initiated an investigation into the deception of a 77-year-old resident of Khabarovsk. Scammers received 1 million rubles from a woman under the pretext of replacing an electricity meter.
