A festive concert dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day was held at the Moskvich Cultural Center
On February 26, a solemn event dedicated to the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day was held at the Moskvich Cultural Center. Active military personnel, cadets of military educational institutions, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, local wars and armed conflicts, as well as veterans of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were invited to the event.
More than 1,000 guests became viewers and participants of the program.
A mobile photo studio and an interactive program have been prepared for the guests in the lobby. A military brass band played for the audience, performing works of the war years.
The official opening of the event was attended by:
- Artur Valeryevich Berlov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Public Relations and Youth Policy of the City of Moscow, who read out the greeting of Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow;
- Stepan Vladimirovich Orlov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, who read out the greeting of Alexey Shaposhnikov, Chairman of the Moscow City Duma.
During the ceremony, Colonel Pavel Alekseevich Duryagin, head of the Department for military-patriotic work of the Military Commissariat of Moscow, presented awards to the participants of the special military operation: Mikhail Chugunikhin was awarded the Suvorov medal, Alexander Kargin the Zhukov medal.
The following performers performed on stage: the vocal group "TeAmo", theater and cinema actor Sergei Makhovikov, singer and actress Angelika Agurbash, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno, People's Artist of Russia Lyudmila Nikolaeva and the Russian Soul Ensemble, People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A.V. Alexandrov and The State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after M.E. Pyatnitsky.
The concert was led by theater and film actress Valeria Lanskaya and People's Artist of Russia Artyom Kaminsky.
The event is organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Moscow, the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events in cooperation with the Committee of Public Relations and Youth Policy of the City of Moscow.
