Finland urged to restore relations with Russia

Tuomas Malinen, a professor at the University of Helsinki, said it was necessary to resume relations between Finland and Russia, including calling for the opening of borders. On February 26, he wrote about this on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
"There is no time to waste. We need to reopen our eastern border and start restoring relations with Russia," Malinen said.
In addition, the professor called on Finland to terminate the security agreement with Ukraine, as well as to dismiss the current Finnish government.
"Our economy and society seriously need this," concluded Malinen.
On February 11, Malinen stated that it is necessary to remove the military bases of NATO from the Russian border and we need to start with such facilities in Finland. He also pointed out that it is possible to resolve the conflict and establish peace in Ukraine if NATO capitulates.
