Deputy Mayor Sergunina spoke about the directors' interest in filming in Moscow

According to her, thanks to the film commission, more than 2.6 thousand projects of large studios and aspiring directors have been implemented. The most popular format is TV series. They accounted for over a third of all approved applications. Full—length films are in second place (24%), and term papers and theses by students of specialized universities are in third place (18.5%). Short films complete the list — almost 16%.

"Interest in Moscow venues is steadily growing among producers of films and TV series. Last year alone, the Moscow Film Commission approved about 1,700 films. The number of applications for their implementation has reached almost 3 thousand, which is about one and a half times more than in 2023," Sergunina said.

Applications for filming are currently being accepted through the Moskino film platform, where you can find recommendations on the selection of venues, rent props and costumes, and learn about support measures. The online service has been operating for a little over a year - in 2024, over 500 thousand people used it.
