The most popular cars in carsharing among Russians are named

In 2024, the Volkswagen Polo, Kia Rio X-Line and Jetta VS5 became the most sought-after carsharing vehicles in the Economy category. The Delimobil company told Izvestia about this on February 27. In the Comfort category over the same period, Haval Jolion, Geely Coolray and Chery Tiggo 4 are the leaders, while in Business and Premium, Russian drivers most often chose Toyota Camry, Exeed RX and Geely Monjaro.

Last year, long carsharing trips from one day were particularly popular, and the number of such trips increased by 20% year-on-year. These are mainly trips from the city to the region and neighboring regions. Some users took a car for long-term rental in carsharing for a vacation trip towards Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and southern cities.

Fans of the business and premium segment prefer to take cars at a long-term rate, in most cases these are cars without pasting such models as BMW 440 M, Dodge Challenger and Mercedes-AMG G63.

The company also noted that by the end of last year, users used an average of 40 unique car models of the service. More than 70% of users regularly rent cars from all available fleet categories, while the rest prefer cars from only one category.

The initiative to establish a minimum mandatory share of domestic passenger cars for carsharing operators from 2026 was made by the head of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, Andrey Kutepov. He sent this proposal to the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
