The FSB detained a man who was planning a series of terrorist attacks in Stavropol

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has stopped a series of terrorist attacks in Stavropol, which was planned to be committed by a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries, a supporter of the Ukrainian terrorist paramilitary association. This was announced on February 26 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

The attacker's actions were coordinated by Ukraine curator. The agent was preparing to attack the buildings of the authorities and law enforcement agencies of the Stavropol Territory: the main departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration of the Industrial District of Stavropol, a military hospital and a military commissariat. The man was going to use molotov cocktails for terrorist attacks.

The suspect conducted a reconnaissance of the territories, bought chemicals and other necessary items for the manufacture of incendiary devices. After the terrorist attacks, the man wanted to leave for Ukraine and become a fighter in its army.

"As a result of the measures taken, the specified person was identified and detained in a timely manner. Molotov cocktails were found and seized at his place of residence, as well as the means of communication of the criminal with instructions from the Ukrainian curator," the agency said in a statement.

The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Stavropol Territory has opened a criminal case under Part 1 of 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code ("Terrorist act").

The day before, on February 25, the FSB directorate for the Kherson region detained a Ukrainian woman who collected information about the location of Russian troops in the region and sent them to the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the Ukrainian military dropped explosives and bomb components from a drone, which were planned to be used against the Russian army.
