In Russia, the quota for military education for citizens of Guinea-Bissau has increased. This was announced on February 26 by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the leader of Guinea-Bissau, Oumaru Sisoku Embalo.

"Traditionally, your country's military personnel receive military education at Russian universities. Moreover, we have even increased the quota for our Bisai friends for the current year," Putin said.

He noted that Moscow and Bissau are building up humanitarian ties, and the interest of young Bisayans in studying in Russia is growing, not only in the civilian sphere, but also in the military.

Embalo, in turn, thanked the Russian president for increasing the quota for the education of military, police and other Bisai students. The head of the African Republic stressed that the peoples of Guinea-Bissau and the Russian Federation are fraternal, and the two countries are reliable partners.
