Domestic dogs attacked a nine-year-old child in Sochi, causing him multiple facial wounds. A criminal case has been opened into the incident. This was announced on February 26 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU IC RF) in the Krasnodar Territory.

It is specified that the incident occurred in Aviator gardening co-op in the Adler district.

"... Two large-breed domestic dogs, unattended by their owner, attacked a nine-year-old boy, causing multiple bite and laceration wounds to his face. Passersby came to the aid of the child, who drove the dogs away," the agency said in a statement.

The boy was taken to a medical facility for the necessary assistance. As his father Valentin told Izvestia, the child was transported to Krasnodar. He clarified that the child was attacked by two huskies.

"The fragments of the face that we extracted from the dogs are being sent by helicopter to Krasnodar. My son is already in Krasnodar," the man said.

On February 23 in Stavropol, a nine-year-old a girl died after being attacked by an aggressive pack of dogs. The incident occurred when the child was riding down an ice slide. The Prosecutor's office of the region is conducting a check on this fact.
