By the end of 2026, rolling stock on the Zamoskvoretskaya metro line will be completely renovated in Moscow. The Moscow-2024 and Moscow-2026 trains will run along it. The changes will affect more than 1.8 million residents of the 21 districts through which the Green Line runs, saidin his official Telegram channel, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

In addition, the construction of the Yuzhnoye electric depot in Brateev will be completed this year. Buildings and structures with a total area of 74.3 thousand square meters will be erected on the site. About 1.3 thousand jobs will be created here.

In the future, the second stage of reconstruction of the Sokol depot will begin. It is necessary to renovate the building built in 1938. A modern building has already been opened to service trains on the Zamoskvoretskaya line. Due to this, the number of places for settling and servicing trains has almost doubled.

In addition, the city will create the country's largest complex for the maintenance and repair of subway cars. In terms of its scale, it will surpass the current record holder, the Mitino electric depot. The new complex will handle up to 2.4 thousand wagons per year.

A total of 12 electric depots have been built and reconstructed in Moscow since 2011. Each of them is a significant infrastructure complex, without which the functioning of the subway is impossible today.
