Sber and RUDN University to open joint digital technology campus

Sber and Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia will open a joint campus of School 21. The corresponding cooperation agreement was signed by German Gref, President and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank, and Oleg Yastrebov, Rector of RUDN University, the press service of Sberbank reported.
According to the university, the training in the new structure will be conducted according to the "peer-to-peer" methodology, when participants exchange knowledge and experience with each other, carry out group and individual projects. University students who have reached the age of 18 will be able to study at the school.
"The opening of School 21 at one of the country's leading universities is an opportunity to gain relevant digital skills at the same time as basic higher education. The peer-to-peer school's teaching methodology helps establish contacts between students from around the world and develop intercultural communication. During the training, participants also develop "soft" skills that are important for successful employment and career continuation. I am sure that the knowledge provided by the school will definitely be useful to RUDN students in their further professional field, especially at the international level," said German Gref.
As part of the agreement, Sber and RUDN University also agreed that they will conduct joint research on the development of artificial intelligence technologies and launch projects aimed at introducing AI in the priority areas of RUDN University. It is planned to hold joint events with the participation of international experts and partners from the BRICS member states and other countries.
About 150 students will be able to study at the campus every year.
