Polish army soldiers will not take part in a possible peacekeeping mission on Ukraine in case of signing a ceasefire agreement. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk made such a statement on February 26.

"Poland's position on this issue is clear — Polish soldiers will not take direct part in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine," he said before a virtual meeting with EU leaders on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

At the same time, Tusk added that Warsaw intends to use frozen Russian assets again to provide assistance to Kiev.

The Wall Street Journal reported on February 23 that Britain and France a plan is being developed to deploy up to 30,000 European peacekeepers in Ukraine. It was noted that the forces of the unification states lack the potential that the US military has.
