In the Lipetsk region, the governor will be given the right to dismiss the mayors of Lipetsk. The corresponding amendment to the Lipetsk charter will be made after the public hearing.

As he writes GOROD48 with reference to the City Council, this must be done to bring the document in line with federal and regional legislation. Adjustments are planned to be made to more than 10 articles of the charter, a document regulating the functioning of the municipality.

Thus, the governor will have a reason to dismiss the head of Lipetsk from office if the mayor was reprimanded or warned, and within a month he did not eliminate the reasons that served as the basis for bringing him to administrative responsibility.

Also, the reason for the termination of the mayor's powers will be "the systematic failure to achieve indicators for assessing the effectiveness of local government."

Amendments are being made to the articles obliging to terminate the powers of the city deputy and the head of the city in case they acquire the status of a foreign agent.

Earlier, on February 14, it was reported that the Meshchansky District Court Moscow imposed the seizure of the property of the family of former Sochi mayor Alexei Kopaigorodsky and other affiliated persons, as well as extended the deadline for previously seized assets. The former mayor of Sochi was detained on September 25 last year in a special operation area, and he was arrested on the same day. He is suspected of receiving a bribe of 43 million rubles from a businessman through his wife.
