The attackers began to introduce themselves as employees of intercom companies. This was announced by the specialists of the Anti-Fraud Center of the Informzashita holding on Wednesday, February 26.

"Fraudsters disguised as employees of an intercom company inform the victim that the equipment in the entrance has been replaced. To access the new intercom, you allegedly need a code from SMS messages from Gosuslug. In fact, the code is needed to log into an account or reset an account password, create a new one and commit illegal actions," said Pavel Kovalenko, director of the holding company, in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to experts, when accessing an account on Gosuslugi, attackers can gain access to banking applications, verify their identity in microfinance organizations with an account, and apply to the Federal Register for registration of ownership rights.

Secondly, use two-factor authentication, which makes it difficult for intruders to access accounts. Thirdly, ignore messages and calls from strangers, since, with a high degree of probability, these are scammers.

On the same day, the Russian Interior Ministry warned about a new scheme of telephone fraud involving the involvement of so-called "lawyers by appointment," reports NSN. The attackers pose as lawyers and offer assistance in a critical situation, deceiving citizens.
