The majority of Russians surveyed (56%) sometimes make impulsive purchases, one in five does this quite often, and only 7% always analyze their spending. This is stated in the results of a study of the sushi and rolls delivery network "A Lot of salmon", which were reviewed by Izvestia on February 27.

Analysts also found out what people are willing to save on and how they relate to the No Buy trend — the rejection of unnecessary purchases.

In 2025, more than a third of respondents (38%) decided to abandon unnecessary purchases. Slightly fewer Russians (35%) are neutral about the No Buy trend, while 19% have not even heard of it.

Most of the respondents (34%) are reducing their expenses on clothes and shoes, 27% are saving on buying household appliances, and only 18% of the study participants will spend less on cosmetics and perfumes this year. However, Russians do not want to save on food and leisure: 52% and 26% of respondents, respectively, admitted that they are not ready to reduce spending on food delivery and entertainment on weekends.

Speaking about unique purchases, 34% of respondents named hairdressing services, 25% — dishes that are difficult to prepare yourself, 19% — coffee from specialized cafes, 11% — taxi rides.

Earlier, on January 19, it was reported that every second Russian surveyed draws up a financial plan for the year. This was stated in the results of the marketplace research. At the same time, 45% of respondents said that they plan monthly expenses and income at the top level, reserving the right to adjust the strategy within 12 months.
