The State traffic Inspectorate announced a raid in Moscow.

State Traffic Inspectorate Moscow will hold a citywide preventive event "Pedestrian" on February 27, the department announced this in its Telegram channel.
Employees of the highway patrol service will monitor the observance of traffic rules by both pedestrians and drivers. In addition, as part of the raid, traffic police will conduct information and explanatory work with children and adults on the rules of road safety when crossing the roadway, as well as norms of behavior in the residential area and in courtyards, the State Traffic Inspectorate reported.
The last raid in Moscow took place from February 14 to 16 and was dedicated to the prevention of offenses in the operation of taxi cars and carsharing.
In three days, traffic police stopped 11.4 thousand administrative offenses committed by taxi drivers and 2.1 thousand by drivers of short—term rental cars.
The day before, it was reported that Rosstandart published a package of amendments to GOST-R 52289, which set mandatory rules for the use of road signs and markings. The changes will take effect on January 1, 2026, but regional authorities can apply it now. Several new characters have been added to the document, for example, "Deaf".
