Elon Musk topped the WSJ superbillionaire rating

American entrepreneur and head of the government's Efficiency Improvement department USA (DOGE) Elon Musk topped the ranking of superbillionaires. This was reported on February 25 by the newspaper The Wall Street Journal with reference to data from the analytical company Altrata.
According to the latter, today it is possible to single out a new category of rich people — superbillionaires, whose fortune is more than $ 50 billion. In total, this list consists of 24 people from all over the world.
Musk is in the lead, with an estimated net worth of $419.4 billion. The second and third places were taken by Jeff Bezos, founder of the American online retailer Amazon ($263.8 billion) and Bernard Arnault, owner of the luxury giant LVMH ($238.9 billion).
The total wealth of the 24 richest people in the world is estimated at $3.3 trillion, which can be compared with the nominal GDP of France. The fortune of 16 people on the list exceeds $100 billion.
On January 18, Bloomberg reported that after the US presidential election, six of the 10 richest people in the world visited the estate of the American leader Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. It was noted that billionaires have landed at Palm Beach Airport a total of 25 times since November 2024. Among these people were Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Bezos and Larry Ellison.
