More than 6 thousand new lanterns were installed near social facilities in Moscow in 2024

In Moscow installed over 6 thousand new lanterns near social facilities last year. About this on February 25 reported the deputy mayor of the capital for housing and communal services and landscaping Peter Biryukov.

He stressed the importance of good lighting for a comfortable urban environment.

"The number of lighting fixtures in Moscow's outdoor lighting and architectural and artistic lighting systems is growing annually and already exceeds a million," the official quotes RT.

He added that most of the new lanterns appeared in New Moscow, the Southern and Southwestern administrative districts. Energy-saving LED lights are used in the supports, the city news agency notes "Moscow". All the lanterns are gradually being equipped with smart sensors, thanks to which dispatchers can remotely adjust the brightness, check the voltage, and monitor whether the lantern is lit or not, writes "Moscow 24".
